Vineyard Taxidermy
No antlers here. These are pieces of grapewood, which is lumber from the thickest parts of a grapevine. I've always thought this wood resembles some sort of freakish antler, so I had to see how it'd look mounted on the wall in a wine bar. The grapewood is mounted to a piece of mitered rough walnut which is mounted on a plaque made of rough cherry. I used a wine colored dye to give the cherry plaque a deep red wine soaked appearance, then finished the entire piece with laquer. I ended up going back later and adding a sign, seen in the last two pictures.
