Mortars and Pestles

These figured maple mortar and pestles were turned on a lathe. They measure about 3 inches high by 3 inches wides. The finish is dewaxed shellac topcoated with a bee's wax and mineral oil blend. They're made to be display pieces and this batch was given to coworkers as holiday presents.
