8 Person Barn Joist Dining Table

This 8 foot long table seats 8 diners and is made of reclaimed barn joists. The top is skip planed, which leaves some saw marks but also creates a flat, usable surface. The timber was reclaimed out of a barn that once stood in Smithville, MO. The top has three sections that are joined together with connectors underneath the table (last pic). The corners are made up with  ultra strong dowel reinforced mortise and tenons.
